A year in the life of our Squadron – 2019
115 (Peterborough) Sqn ATC aims to provide exciting and challenging opportunities for the youth of Peterborough and instill in our cadets the confidence to do anything they wish in the future; to encourage them in the words of our Sqn motto to Aspire, Achieve and Excel in everything they do.
The ATC is community-based and open to anyone aged between 12 if you are in year 8, and 17 years who is eligible (see our section on joining the cadets). It’s organised into more than 900 squadrons across the UK and we are part of the Bedfordshire & Cambridgeshire Wing. Amongst the many adventurous training opportunities on offer, we are one of the largest operators of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme. The activities we provide are exciting, rewarding and above all fun. You’ll discover skills you never knew you had, do things and visit places you never thought you would, and meet lots of like-minded people who will become your team-mates and friends.
The ATC motto is ‘Venture – Adventure’ and our cadets know that it’s more than just words – it’s an attitude that helps you stand out from the crowd.
