PARADE EVENINGS
The squadron
meets two evenings a week, every week of the year, except for a stand-down
period over Christmas and the New Year. We do not meet on Bank
holidays.
Every night is different, always something to do, something new to learn or
experience. The Training programme is compiled by our Training Officer
who has one the most difficult and satisfying jobs on the unit. His
job is to maintain your interest with a varied and balanced programme
incorporating all the required training and "extras" that we can fit in.
PARADE

| |
Every night we have a
formation parade, where the fire register is taken, at the end of every
evening we have a dismissal parade where notices are given out and
awards presented, in between we have two forty minute training periods,
with a twenty minute tea break in between. |

DRILL

| |
Drill is a powerful
aid to discipline. It develops in our young people a sense of
corporate pride, alertness, precision and a readiness to obey orders
instantly. Smartness on parade is not only a sign of good discipline,
but a basic factor in an individual's self-pride and prepares them to go
about their routine tasks in an orderly and constructive fashion. |

OTHER TRAINING

| |
In the summer we try to get
out-doors as much as possible, in the Winter this is not always possible
due to the weather. |
