RECRUITS

We have two "Intakes" of recruits a year, usually in the spring and autumn.  Basic Training lasts around 22 weeks.

All recruits join the squadron as probationary cadets, once you have been issued your uniform (usually after around 6-10 weeks) you become a second class cadet.

The recruits follow a structured training programme (see below) which culminates in a passing-out parade to which parents and siblings are invited to see the new cadets formally "enrolled" into the squadron by the padre.  Certificates and first class badges are presented to all cadets by a Senior Officer.
