civilian committee
Honorary President: Group Captain BS Morris OBE AFC RAF retd
Every squadron
must have a Civilian Committee. They work in partnership with the
Squadron Commander to maintain the direction of the unit and manage the
units funds.
The Civilian Committee are an essential cog in the Squadrons machinery.
They are there to organise the raising of funds and the management of those
funds. Squadron staff have no access to bank accounts nor large
amounts of cash.
The Squadrons committee consist of a Honorary President, Honorary Chairman,
Honorary Secretary, Honorary Treasurer and members. The Squadron
Commander and Padre sit on the Committee as ex-officio members.
The Committee meet every other month where the finances are scrutinised,
correspondence dealt with and the Squadron Commander reports on the state of
the unit. |
